I have been hitting the antique, flea market and consignment shops where i first came across old oyster containers found one from the YORK RIVER, one from Maryland near where my grandfather had a cottage and thought what a cool thing for the urbanna cottage. I plan to put plants in them in the spring. But as I was shopping I came across this one from Shelter Island so I now have an Ackert connection at the cottage. I also found an Amory crabmeat container which was just down the street from my Nana"s house in Hampton.

Another Ikea purchase. the sleeper sofa for the living room. Ray helped get it into the cottage after it was wrestled into the little shed by Bridget and I in the pouring down rain. Navy cover for fall and winter then white cover for spring and summer. Coffee table from Nana's cottage as well as wood cupboard. Wicker rocker from chickadee's consignment.

  1. Finally getting to read your blog after a crazy fall ... what fun to see the Shelter Island oyster tin. And now you have a Texas well pulley, to boot.

Happy New Year from the Ackerts!
