I have been hitting the antique, flea market and consignment shops where i first came across old oyster containers found one from the YORK RIVER, one from Maryland near where my grandfather had a cottage and thought what a cool thing for the urbanna cottage. I plan to put plants in them in the spring. But as I was shopping I came across this one from Shelter Island so I now have an Ackert connection at the cottage. I also found an Amory crabmeat container which was just down the street from my Nana"s house in Hampton.

JULY 11 2012
We got the cottage after a year of looking. I had seen it in line but at a price of 289,000.00 after a reduction. I thought it looked great but cost to much. Kept on looking every so often until one day it reduced to 219,000.00. So on a wim I called to take a look at it. It was love a first sight but I needed Ray to love it too. Took him over and he liked it but really liked the fact that it had been appraised by the bank at 315,000.00. So I made an offer of 200,000. cash and it was accepted. I couldn't believe it we actually own waterfront. With this blog I hope to keep the memories of the yet to be named cottage.
